The Process of Preservation is briefly outlined in 5 steps above. The first step is to place your order and hand-deliver or ship your flowers to us. Once they arrive, they are carefully preserved for the heirlooms ordered. After drying, they are prepped and designed. For a more in-depth understanding of our process, please call or email us! We are happy to walk you through our process.
Yes! You can pick any keepsake style however depending on your bouquet, we may not be able to include certain flowers in keepsakes like Resin Letters, Coasters, Ring Holders and Ornaments as are they are smaller in size.
For example, Roses, Peonies and larger flowers similar in size would not fit whole in the resin items listed above. We would then use any other flowers given that fit into the keepsake.
While we can preserve almost anything, we do have a list of flowers that we do not like to press because they can preserve and not be aesthetically pleasing:
Chrysanthemum (Mums) and Berries.
Absolutely! Both Pressed and Resin keepsakes have similar care instructions. You want to avoid keeping your keepsakes in direct sunlight, hot temperature rooms, and humidity. This will cause your pressed flowers to fade quickly, and cause your resin to amber quickly. Your pressed flowers will fade over time regardless to a more antique/vintage tone. Some flowers like white roses, pink roses and purple roses will loose their color faster than others even within months of receiving your keepsake.
Your resin will amber over time, the yellow can be anywhere from a minimal beige tone to a pure amber color. This cannot be avoided; however, storage of your keepsakes can potentially slow these processes down.
What is ambering? Ambering is the yellowing of resin. This is caused by UV rays and direct sunlight, and/or hot temperature rooms. You want to store your keepsakes in a cool-temperature room.
Our #1 goal is to create a keepsake with your florals that remind you of the flowers you held in your hand on your special day and save your flowers from crumbling away. We are not creating a replicated image of your bouquet. We would like you to consider your artwork as a new life for your flowers. We can't stress enough that your florals are extremely unique. Some may look different than you remember, some may even shrink a bit in size. It is important to remember that pressing/preserving flowers is a natural process and the reason we press is so that your flowers do not mold, and crumble to dust!
Colors WILL change after drying, Pressed flowers WILL fade over time.
Every flower responds differently to the preservation process and even two of the same flowers can be slightly different in tone, shape and size. Some flowers preserve similar to their fresh form, but some can change tone:
- White florals can preserve with a yellow/brown/ivory hue.
White florals are truly unpredictable and many elements factor in the way these florals press and preserve. It must also be known that white flowers will continue to change as the years go on. This is part of the natural press and preservation process.
- Red florals can deepen and darken with a dark red or purple hue
- Light Pink florals can lighten or darken with a mauve/grey/purple hue
- Dark Pink florals can darken with a purple/mauve hue
- Purple Florals can deepen and darken with a dark purple/black hue
We ask that you view our work to see some of these finished tones in our gallery that features before and after photos.
If you are deeply concerned with the tone outcome, please ask for samples that we have created to compare to.
Absolutely! We recommend a few beautiful heirlooms for boutonnieres including our most popular 5x7 or 5x5 Pressed Frame and our 4x6 Resin Arch. Unless specifically requested otherwise, the boutonniere will be arranged, mixed in with the bouquet design.
The average turn-around time from arrival of the florals:
Pressed and Resin Orders take a minimum of 6-8 months for completion.
Bundles/Collections and orders with 3 or more keepsake items will take a minimum of 8+ months for completion.
We promise your florals are in great hands! These turnaround times can change.
Minimum turnaround times mean your items should not be expected to be ready before this timeframe, they will be ready after. We do not give hard completion timeframes or dates due to many factors in our finishing process including a waiting queue of orders we are working on at once.
Every preservation goes through many phases, and it is extremely important for us to take our time with each step.
All main keepsake items can add on our Design Mock Up Service during checkout. If added to your order, you will receive a design to approve in your Client Portal. You can make any changes until your design is just right.
Once your design is approved, your order will get placed into our gluing queue! If you have add-on resin items, it will be set aside to wrap up completion when your resin items are completed. If it is a frame only order, it will be glued as soon as it's up in the queue.
*Please note that there may be minor changes in your finished glued design as all florals are removed from glass and glued back into place 1 at a time. This is part of the handmade nature of our crafted items, but we do our best to keep the integrity of the approved design. If a main focal flower is broken during the gluing process, we will reach out to you if we are unable to cover or replace.
You can place your order at any time. Booking early can secure current pricing and service offerings as well as the drop off time slot you prefer for the day after your event. Time is of the essence when it comes to the freshness of your florals, the sooner we receive them the better!
Booking early prevents you from booking last minute :)
We take orders up to 3-5 days post event. We have a dedicated preservation team able to accommodate orders at the last minute. Time is of the essence when it comes to the freshness of your florals, the sooner we receive them the better!
We accept flowers by appointment only and strongly recommend not "walking in" with your flowers. If you need a same-day drop off appointment, please call us and we will let you know the available drop off times for that day! Monday and Tuesday phone lines are very busy so please be patient.
We absolutely do and would be honored to preserve the memory of your loved ones with the beautiful flowers that surrounded them during your final goodbyes. Similar to our last-minute bookings, if you need a same day drop off appointment you can call us to check the available time slots for that day. Otherwise, you can purchase the keepsake items you'd like to have created and schedule the next available appointment time that works for you.
Absolutely! We have brides choose additional keepsakes (The 8x10 Frame or Ornament Add-Ons are perfect gifts for loved ones!) We ask that you ship as many florals as possible (centerpieces or extra bridesmaid's arrangements) so that we can create full add on keepsakes! Bundles have a requirement of florals.
Deciding between a Pressed, Shadowbox, or Resin item is difficult! While we have techniques that make each option beautiful for any flower palette, the decision comes down to preference. All keepsakes have pros, but some deciding factors can be the cons.
A Pressed Frame Heirloom can be displayed on your wall forever and has enough room to fit the most flowers vs most Resin heirloom options, however without color enhancement the flowers will inevitably fade to antique tones.
A Shadowbox Frame is a stunning blend of the pressed style and 3D dried flowers, however not all flowers can be displayed in their 3D form due to thickness. The shadowbox frame itself can be displayed on the wall but is thick.
Resin Items are a beautiful way to display your flowers in 3D form however Resin itself will amber over time.
Crafted with time and intention
HOW LONG DOES THE PROCESS TAKE?
Every piece is entirely handcrafted, and because of this intentional, hands-on process, each stage requires patience and attention to detail. From preservation to final design, your flowers are never rushed — they are carefully transformed into something meant to last.
Rather than offering rigid timelines, we allow the process to unfold naturally, ensuring every piece meets the level of beauty and quality we’re known for.
Because the most meaningful things are always worth the wait.

A touch of color, Thoughtfully restored
Color correction is a thoughtful enhancement designed to preserve the beauty and integrity of your flowers long after their original moment has passed. As blooms naturally dry, their colors can soften, fade, or shift into vintage tones — with lighter florals like whites, blush, and peach often changing the most. Through a delicate, hand-painted process, we restore and refine these tones, bringing back softness, brightness, and depth while minimizing natural bruising that can appear during preservation. While this process enhances and extends the life of your flowers, it’s important to note that all preserved blooms will continue to evolve gently over time, as they remain organic at their core.

What to expect, Now & over time
Preserving your flowers is about holding onto something real — a tangible reminder of the blooms you carried and the moments you celebrated. Your keepsake is not a photograph frozen in time, but a living, organic piece that will gently evolve alongside your story.
As flowers are naturally preserved, their colors will soften and shift over time, often developing into deeper, more antique tones like warm ivories, muted blushes, and rich golden browns. The most noticeable changes typically occur within the first 1–2 years, after which your piece settles into its lasting, heirloom state.
Every flower preserves differently. Some may hold their color beautifully, while others may fade or deepen in tone — even blooms from the same bouquet can transform in unique ways. This natural variation is part of what makes each piece one-of-a-kind.
While your flowers will continue to age gracefully, they are preserved to last. They will not mold, crumble, or need to be discarded. Instead, they become a timeless keepsake — one that reflects not only a moment in time, but the beauty of how it continues to evolve.
